worn so as not to be objectionable. The clothing must be made <strong>of</strong> a material<br />
which is non-transparent even when wet. The competitors must not wear<br />
clothing which could impede the view <strong>of</strong> the judges.<br />
� Competitors may compete in bare feet or with sport shoes on one or both<br />
feet. The purpose <strong>of</strong> the shoes for competition is to give protection and<br />
stability to the feet and a firm grip on the ground. Such shoes, however,<br />
must not be constructed so as to give the competitor any additional<br />
assistance and no spring or device <strong>of</strong> any kind should be incorporated in the<br />
shoes. A strap over the instep is permitted.<br />
� Running spikes should be no longer than 9mm.<br />
� Starting blocks may be used for races up to and including the 400 meters.<br />
The Organizing Committee will be responsible for providing such equipment.<br />
3. Points <strong>of</strong> Emphasis - Rules Conditions<br />
� Athletes participating in the long jump must be able to jump at least 1<br />
meter, which is the minimum distance between the take-<strong>of</strong>f boards to the<br />
sand pit.<br />
� The minimum opening height for all high jump competitions will be 1 meter.<br />

2. Sport Uniform/Equipment<br />
� All athletes are required to bring their own badminton racket<br />
� Clothing worn by players during competition shall be acceptable<br />
badminton clothing.<br />
� The colour <strong>of</strong> clothing is optional. In the Doubles and the Mixed Doubles<br />
players should wear the same uniform.<br />
