A deep satisfaction and joy comes from the<br />

assurance that on everything invested for the<br />

salvation <strong>of</strong> those for whom He died, the Master<br />

inscribes, "'Inasmuch as you did it to one <strong>of</strong> the<br />

least <strong>of</strong> these My brethren, you did it to Me'" (Matt.<br />

25:40). "There is nothing too precious for us to<br />

give to Jesus. If we return to Him the talents <strong>of</strong><br />

means which He has entrusted to our keeping, He<br />

will give more into our hands. Every effort we<br />

make for Christ will be rewarded by Him, and<br />

every duty we perform in His name will minister to<br />

our own happiness."[12]<br />

A Blessing to Others<br />

True stewards bless all whom they contact.<br />

They execute Paul's stewardship injunction,<br />

"Command them to do good, to be rich in good<br />

deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In<br />

this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as<br />

a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they<br />

may take hold <strong>of</strong> the life that is truly life" (1 Tim.<br />
