Managing <strong>Switch</strong> Configurations<br />

Show Currently Used Configuration<br />

Depending on how a a switch is booted different directories can become the RUNNING DIRECTORY.<br />

See “Where is the <strong>Switch</strong> Running From?” on page 3-4. for additional information.<br />

To check the directory from where the switch is currently running, enter the following command:<br />

-> show running-directory<br />

CONFIGURATION STATUS<br />

Running CMM<br />

: MASTER-PRIMARY,<br />

CMM Mode<br />

: VIRTUAL-CHASSIS MONO CMM,<br />

Current CMM Slot : CHASSIS-1 A,<br />

Running configuration : WORKING,<br />

Certify/Restore Status : CERTIFY NEEDED<br />

SYNCHRONIZATION STATUS<br />

Running Configuration : NOT SYNCHRONIZED,<br />

Show <strong>Switch</strong> Files<br />

The files currently installed on a switch can be viewed using the show microcode command. This<br />

command displays the files currently in the specified directory.<br />

To display files on a switch, enter the show microcode command with a directory, as shown:<br />

-> show microcode certified<br />

If no directory is specified, the files that have been loaded into the running configuration are shown.<br />
