placed on improving our mental health.

(WHO): ‘Mental health is an integral part to health;

But when was the last time you thought of

improving your mental health?

Mental health refers to the state of our cognitive

and/or emotional wellbeing – it’s all about how you

think, feel and behave. Mental health not only

enables you to cope with the stresses of everyday life

but it can also mean an absence of a mental disorder.

study from 2012 published in The BMJ found that

individuals with poor mental health are at increased

risk of death from cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Other research has recently linked mental illness to a

higher risk of heart disease and stroke.
