The revised Code <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> C<strong>on</strong>duct provides a unique opportunity for all countries to assess <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
effectiveness <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>ir pesticide management policies. It could be used as an instrument to bring<br />
toge<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>r informati<strong>on</strong> from different instituti<strong>on</strong>s and organizati<strong>on</strong>s for a comprehensive look at <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
benefits and risks <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> pesticides. As reflected in <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> Code, pesticide policies must be effectively<br />
linked with appropriate pest management policies in order to achieve synergistic benefits. So far,<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g>re is inc<strong>on</strong>sistent evidence am<strong>on</strong>g <str<strong>on</strong>g>Asia</str<strong>on</strong>g>n countries <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> c<strong>on</strong>sistent pest and pesticide management<br />
policies with clear nati<strong>on</strong>al targets.
