ONBOARD Magazine autumn 2023

ONBOARD is aimed purely at the superyacht professional – whether onboard or shoreside. 100% of your spend will hit your targets on the Mediterranean from Palma in Mallorca, Barcelona, through France to Genoa and beyond together with Montenegro and the Aegean, plus the eastern seaboard of Florida. We hand deliver every copy to superyachts over 30m to make sure your message gets in to the hands of the decision makers on board. The publication is also delivered to relevant businesses around the ports and marinas together with shipyards. We also attend the major yacht shows in Monaco, FLIBS, METS, Boote Dusseldorf, Palma and MYBA for on site distribution. Plus, we post over 500 copies to relevant businesses not on the Mediterranean such as the UK, the Netherlands, Germany the rest of northern Europe and of course the USA and Caribbean. We work hard to develop a publication that all the crew and land based decision makers will read from cover to cover. An enjoyable and informative read for everyone means your message will be read. Talking about your brand, product, services and your team is essential and with our help, the message hits the right decision makers.

SAFETY AT
SEA ALWAYS
COMES
FIRST!
Discreet, but effective. Those
are the main characteristics
of the Excellence by
Everlux for superyachts
photoluminescent safety
signage, assuring passenger
safety without interfering
with the luxurious interior
design concept of the yacht
On a vessel, a superyacht or any other
type of marine structure, the safety of
its passengers should be of maximum
priority. One of the ways to guarantee that
is having all the safety signage in compliance
with all the requirements applied to the
maritime industry.
Everlux Maritime provides a wide range of
safety signage solutions for the maritime
industry, one of them is entirely dedicated
to the superyacht industry – Excellence by
Everlux. These signs have a highly discreet
profile and create a harmonious co-existence
between the interior architecture details
and the sign elements, emphasising the
aesthetics of the vessel.
The Excellence by Everlux Safety Signs
offer a durable, resistant, plus a quick
and easy installation solution. These
signs are available in several standard
base materials, such as acrylic, glass or
metal, and can also be manufactured using
the customer’s substrate of choice. The
distinctive characteristics of the Excellence
By Everlux signage are boosted by the use
of coloured pigments that allows both the
pictogram and the background colours to
be visible in the dark.
Excellence by Everlux is compliant with
IMO Resolution A.1116(30) and with the
more recent Red Ensign Group Yacht
Code. This is particularly significant as in
its Part B Passenger Yacht Code (up to 36
passengers), the Red Ensign Group Yacht
Code states that “escape route signs and
fire equipment location markings shall be
of photoluminescent material”. This is
integrated in this Code’s requirement for
the installation of a low-location lighting
(LLL) system in the means of escape of
the vessels.
Low-location Lighting (LLL) system
The Everlux Low-location Lighting (LLL)
system is a unique system that allows the
means of escape, including stairways and
exits to stay illuminated at deck level (up
to 300mm from the finished floor surface),
thereby communicating a clear, continuous
and unambiguous guidance to a safe place.
The safety signage system is also effective
in identifying the locations of firefighting and
emergency equipment reducing the possible
confusion and panic during an emergency
situation.
As required by the Red Ensign Group Yacht
Code for systems installed onboard yachts
with a capacity up to 36 passengers, the
Everlux Low-location Lighting (LLL) system
is compliant with IMO Resolution A.752(18),
ISO 15370, SOLAS Convention 2004, and
other applicable International Organization
for Standardization (ISO) standards.
The components of the Everlux Low-location
Lighting (LLL) system are certified according
to the Marine Equipment Directive (MED)
and the UK Conformity Assessment Scheme
(UK-MER) and therefore carry the Wheelmark
and the Red Ensign mark of conformity.
Everlux is also an Approved Service Supplier
by DNV and can provide onboard Low-location
Lighting luminance measurement services.
This service is part of a complete solution
to the superyacht industry, that includes
several other services such as remote and
onboard surveys, LLL project development,
installation, and commissioning.
