Marina di Valletta was born through the initiative of a consortium of
foreign and local investors. It was launched in August 2016, with an
investment of €7.45m. This was formed with MARINA DI VARAZZE
S.r.l, the marina development division of Azimut|Benetti Group,
which already operates marinas in Varazze, Viareggio and Livorno.
The consortium also includes Azimut|Benetti’s representatives
in Malta, Esprit Yachting together with Arrigo Group of Hotels,
Joinwell and Tal-Maghtab Construction, all leading local companies
from the yachting, hospitality, furniture and construction industries
whose names are synonymous with sound traditional values and
expertise in their respective fields. Marina di Valletta’s in-house
team offers services to yacht owners berthing at the marina.
A concierge service will offer the full range of services and the
marina RIBs will always be available for assistance during mooring.

step. An electrically operated, combined tender and rescue boat
winch, which was developed, certified and delivered in compliance
with Lloyds Register, SOLAS and REG YC Part A. Characteristic
of the unique design, besides the combination of tender operation
and SOLAS operation, is the use of synthetic fibre ropes as well as
the electric drive. Depending on desire or necessity, the user can
make his choice, just by changing between the FUCHS hook FH 1 for
manned tender boats or a SOLAS certified hook. The compact design
of this FUCHS winch allows space saving integration into the proven
FUCHS lightweight crane design concept. The electric FUCHS winch
is designed for a lifting height of 8m, in tender operation with the
SWL of 1.3t and in SOLAS operation for 2.5t.
