Connecting Bluetooth Devices
Bluetooth is a technology that allows you to connect peripherals to one another. Unlike other
common methods of doing this (USB and FireWire), Bluetooth does this wirelessly, and because
of this, some additional work is necessary. The best place to begin connecting and setting up a
Bluetooth device is from the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences (Figure 5-11).
When no devices are set up, the preference pane will provide a Set Up New Device button
right in the middle. There are various other areas in Leopard where you can set up Bluetooth
devices as well. When you begin to set up a new Bluetooth device, Leopard will launch the
Bluetooth Setup Assistant to help you through the process (Figure 5-12).
