AutoFill Form Shift+Cmd+A Attempts to fill in a web form using data from<br />

the AutoFill feature in Safari. This feature is<br />

sometimes triggered automatically when you<br />

begin to fill out a form.<br />

Find Opens a submenu of the following items (i.e., the<br />

items from Google Search to Jump to Selection).<br />

Google Search Option+Cmd+F Moves the focus to the Google search box in the<br />

toolbar so you can enter a term to search with<br />

Google.<br />

Find... Cmd+F Opens up the Find Banner at the top of the web<br />

page so that you may search the web page for<br />

specific text.<br />

Find Next Cmd+G Cycles forward through the web page revealing<br />

the next match to your Find search string in the<br />

web page.<br />

Find Previous Shift+Cmd+G Cycles back through the page finding previous<br />

search matches.<br />

Hide Find Banner Shift+Cmd+F Hides the Find Banner if opened.<br />

Use Selection for Find Cmd+E Copies the selected text into the Find field (even<br />

if the Find Banner is hidden). You may then use<br />

the Find Next or Find Previous commands to<br />

cycle through matched or selected text.<br />

Jump to Selection Cmd+J Automatically scrolls the web page up or down (if<br />

necessary) to recenter the page on the selected<br />

region.<br />

Spelling and Grammar Like Find, opens up a submenu of items relating<br />

to Apple’s built-in Spelling and Grammar system.<br />

Show Spelling and Cmd+: Opens the Spelling and Grammar window, which<br />

Grammar allows you to cycle through perceived errors in<br />

editable text. For each error it finds, it will offer<br />

advice on correcting it.<br />

Check Document Now Cmd+; Checks the editable content of your document<br />

for spelling errors. It will underline any errors it<br />

finds with a small squiggly red line.<br />

Check Spelling While Typing Underlines perceived spelling errors in editable<br />

text with a small squiggly red line. Right-clicking<br />

(or Cmd+clicking) the word will bring up a<br />

contextual menu with potential correct spellings<br />

for the misspelled word.<br />

Check Grammar with Spelling Displays potential grammar issues when you<br />

check the document for spelling errors.<br />

Special Characters... Option+Cmd+T Opens a character palette for selecting special<br />

characters that you may want to insert into a text<br />

field.
