Stockholders of the Jamestown Car Parts Manufacturing
Company, Jamestown, X. Y.. manufacturer
of automobile radiators, voted to change the name of
the company to the Jamestown Metal Equipment Corporation.
The company will also manufacture metal
furniture products and is installing equipment in a
new addition for this work. Gustave A. Lawson is
secretary and general manager.
Lincoln Electric Company, Cleveland, Ohio, manufacturer
of the "Stable-arc" welder, is planning to extend
the training course in welding which it has been
conducting for the last two years in co-operation with
the Cleveland School of Technology. The plan provides
for alternating five-week training courses, by
which half of the students' time is spent in the manufacturing
plant and the other half in school. The students
during the time they work in the factory are
paid the same as full time men.

I'". W. Bliss Company, Fifty-third Street and Second
Avenue, Brooklyn, i\T. V, has moved its Detroit
office from the Dime Bank Bldg. to the General Motors
Bldg., Detroit, Mich.

General Electric Company, Schenectady, N. Y., has
made plans for the immediate erection of a large warehouse
and office building at Santa Fe Avenue and
Fifty-second Street, Los Angeles, Calif. The plant
will be used as a distributing center.
The Latrobe Electric Steel Company, Latrobe, Pa.,
has awarded a general contract to the Fort Pitt Bridge
Company, Pittsburgh, for its proposed one-story mill
to cost $130,000 with equipment. M. W. Saxman is
president.

The Air Reduction Sales Company of Xew York
has served notice to users of oxy-acetylene processes
in regard to the utilization of apparatus of the Messer
and Heylandt types manufactured in Germany. There
is a suit pending now in the U. S. District Court in
Delaware against a user of similar equipment because
it infringes on patents owned by the A*\ir Reduction
Sales Company.
Announcement has been made that the Xational
Enameling & Stamping Company is about to transfer
its general offices from New York to Milwaukee, the
seat of one of its principal production centers. A floor
has been leased in the First Wisconsin Xational Bank
Building.

The Brown Instrument Company, Philadelphia,
Pa., has opened an office in charge of Mr. J. R. Green.
at 215 East Xew York Street, Indianapolis, Ind., and
one in charge of Mr. G. S. Frazee at Room 1108, Hippodrome
Bldg., Cleveland, Ohio.
The Uehling Instrument Company of Paterson, N.
J., recently appointed the Ernest E. Lee Company, 115
South Dearborn Street, Chicago, to represent them in
Xorthern Illinois and Xorthern Indiana in connection
with the sale of CO. recorders, fuel waste meters and
other power plant instruments.
