Substance Administration Services – Miscellaneous substance administration DDACU – DDADU
DDACU Subcutaneous chelation therapy administration each treatment
Analyzing a client/patient’s blood sample to determine his or her blood glucose level. Use DEACV in
conjunction with DEACU. For short tests use, DEABZ, DEACS or DEACT. Service is billed in 60-minute
increments beyond a 4-hour test.
DDACZ Eye medication administration each treatment
Administering an opthalmic medication into a client/patient’s eye(s). Services is billed per treatment.
DDADB Intramuscular oxidative medicine administration each treatment
Administering an oxidative agent(s) to a client/patient through muscle for therapeutic effect(s) (for
example, to restore oxidative balance). Service is billed per treatment.
DDADC Intravenous oxidative medicine administration each 60 minutes
Administering an oxidative solution(s) to a client/patient through a vein for therapeutic effect(s) (for
example, to restore oxidative balance). Service is billed in 60-minute increments.
DDADD Subcutaneous oxidative medicine administration each treatment
Administering an oxidative solution(s) to a client/patient through his or her skin for therapeutic effect(s) (for
example, to restore oxidative balance by increasing the amount of oxygen necessary for optimal function
of the body). Service is billed per treatment.
DDADE Transdermal medication administration each treatment
Administering a medication to a client/patient through his or her skin. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADF Inhalant administration each treatment
Administering an inhalant(s) into a client/patient’s nose, trachea and/or respiratory system. Service is
billed per treatment.
DDADG Sublingual substance administration each treatment
Administering a substance to a client/patient under his or her tongue. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADH Intravenous autotransfusion each treatment
Collecting a client/patient’s intraoperative and/or postoperative blood, taken from a clean wound(s) and/
or vein, and reinfusing it into his or her body. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADK Rectal medication administration each treatment
Administering a medication into a client/patient’s rectum. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADL Topical substance application each application
Applying a topical substance to a client/patient’s skin. Service is billed per application.
DDADM Suppository administration each treatment
Administering a suppository into a client/patient’s rectum and/or urethra. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADN Vaginal medication administration each treatment
Administering a medication into a client/patient’s vagina. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADQ Total parenteral nutrition (TPN) administration each 60 minutes
Administering TPN to a client/patient through an intravenous catheter that drains into his or her superior
vena cava. Service is billed in 60-minute increments.
DDADR Ventricular reservoir medication administration each 60 minutes
Administering a medication into a client/patient’s indwelling catheter within a lateral ventricle. Service is
billed in 60-minute increments.
DDADS Oral medication administration each treatment
Administering a medication into a client/patient’s mouth. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADT Phonophoresis application each treatment
Applying a substance topically to a client/patient’s skin using an ultrasound device to transfer ions into his
or her tissue. Service is billed per treatment.
DDADU Oral immunization administration each treatment
Administering an immunization into a client/patient’s mouth to prevent communicable disease(s). Service
is billed per treatment.
