NBAFG Contaminated material disposal education
Teaching a patient and/or caregiver the proper techniques to handle and/or dispose of contaminated
material(s).
NBAFH Nurturance education family
Teaching family member(s) techniques to nurture their dependent family member.
NBAFI Care compliance education
Teaching a patient techniques to assist him or her in complying with his or her therapy and/or treatment.
NBAFJ Patient Bill of Rights assistance
Assisting a patient in preparing statements and/or documents regarding his or her entitlement of care
during an illness episode.
NBAFK� Caregiver support each 15 minutes
Using a qualified helper to assist with a patient's care. Service is billed in 15-minute increments.

NBC Speech therapy
NBCAD Speech and language communication therapy individual
Using compensatory communication strategies with a patient to improve his or her deficiencies with vocal
sounds, symbols, signs and/or gestures.
NBCAE Base of tongue and pharyngeal speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and speech observation, with a
patient to improve his or her speech and/or ability to swallow by increasing tone and improving
coordinated mobility and reflexes of the tongue and throat.
NBCAF Bolus control speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and chewing observation, with a
patient to improve his or her orofacial muscle coordination in swallowing softened, small pieces of food.
NBCAG Drooling control speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and drooling observation, with a
patient to reduce his or her excess saliva and drooling.
NBCAH Elicit phonation speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and phonation observation, with a
patient to improve his or her speech via vibration of the vocal chords.
NBCAI Speech and language exercise therapy individual
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and physical activity observation,
with a patient to improve his or her speech by increasing tone, power and range-of-motion and mobility of
the tongue.
NBCAJ Orofacial speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and physical activity observation,
with a patient to improve his or her speech by improving and/or maintaining the muscles of the face,
mouth, lips and tongue.
NBCAK Swallowing and positioning speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and swallowing and positioning
observation, with a patient to improve his or her speech.
NBCAL Thermal stimulation speech and language exercise therapy
Using speech and language exercise therapy, including drill repetition and heat and/or cold stimulation,
with a patient to improve his or her speech.
