Assign number type When you assign a number type, an icon is placed in front of the contact number to specify the type of number it is. NK Select jÉåì > `çåí~Åíë > sáÉï=~ää. OK From the contacts list, select a contact. PK At the contact’s detail screen, select bÇáí. QK Scroll down twice to highlight the number type dropdown and press the lh key. Select dÉåÉê~ä, tçêâ, eçãÉ, jçÄáäÉ, m~ÖÉê RK or c~ñ. The appropriate icon appears next to the number in your phone lists. Select p~îÉ. SK Using contact groups You can assign your contacts to groups that share the common ringtone or image. Your phone comes with two default groups, Business and Personal. You can also create your own groups. Create groups Select jÉåì > `çåí~Åíë > dêçìéë. NK Select kÉï. OK Enter a name for the group and select kÉñí. PK Add or remove your desired contacts from QK the list. A check mark appears next to each selection. After selecting all your desired contacts, RK select açåÉ. Your new group appears the next time you view your groups. 34 Using contact groups
Use a group Select jÉåì > `çåí~Åíë > dêçìéë. NK Scroll to your desired group in the OK Groups list. Select léíáçåë and one of the following: PK displays the group details. sáÉï edits the group. bÇáí deletes the group. bê~ëÉ sends the group a pÉåÇ=íÉñí=ãëÖ text message. sends the group a pÉåÇ=éáÅíìêÉ=ãëÖ multimedia message. Customize a group Select jÉåì > `çåí~Åíë > dêçìéë. NK Select a group from the Groups list. OK Select léíáçåë and one of the following: PK assigns a ringer to the group. oáåÖÉê assigns a message alert ringtone jëÖ=~äÉêí to the group. assigns a picture to the group. máÅíìêÉ deletes the group. bê~ëÉ edits the group. bÇáí Since Business and Personal are kçíÉW predefined groups, you cannot erase any of them. Searching contacts To find a phone number or contact, you can search the contacts list, use the c~ëí=ÑáåÇ, or check the cêÉèìÉåí=äáëí. See “Fast find” on page 51 and “Frequent list” on page 51. To search your contacts list, select jÉåì > `çåí~Åíë > sáÉï=~ää, cáåÇ=å~ãÉ, dêçìéë, péÉÉÇ Çá~ä=äáëí or sçáÅÉ=Çá~ä=äáëí. You can also use the `çåí~Åíë shortcut from the main screen to view the contacts list. To quickly get down the list, enter the first letter of the contact. You skip to that letter of the alphabet.
