Keyguard
Lock the keyguard
The keyguard locks the external number keypad
on your phone to prevent accidental keypresses
when the phone is turned on and a call is not in
progress. You can still answer or silence an
incoming call.
To lock the keypad, press and hold the
G=pÜáÑí key.
To unlock the keypad, select hÉóÖì~êÇ and
press the lh key.
Set the keyguard
You can set the phone to lock the keypad
automatically when the flip is closed. Select
> pÉííáåÖë > hÉóÖì~êÇ > dì~êÇ=çå=ÅäçëÉ
jÉåì
to activate the keyguard everytime the flip
is closed.
Sounds
Your phone has several settings for sound control.
You can select from a variety of ringtones and
control the volume.
Volume
Ringtone, Key, Earpiece, and
Speakerphone Volume
To adjust the ringtone, keypad tone, earpiece, or
speakerphone volume:
Select jÉåì > pÉííáåÖë > pçìåÇë >

oáåÖíçåÉ=îçäìãÉ, b~êéáÉÅÉ=
hÉó=îçäìãÉ,
îçäìãÉ, or péâêéÜçåÉ=îçäìãÉ.
Scroll right to increase the volume, or left to
OK
decrease the volume.
Select p~îÉ.

Smart volume
To automatically adjust the volume during a call
based on surrounding noise levels, select jÉåì >
pÉííáåÖë > pçìåÇë > pã~êí=îçäìãÉ > bå~ÄäÉÇ.
Ringtones
Your phone has multiple ringtones you can
choose for incoming calls. You can also assign
ringtones for contacts in your business or
personal group. Select jÉåì > pÉííáåÖë >
pçìåÇë > oáåÖíçåÉë, _ìëáåÉëë=êáåÖíçåÉë, or
mÉêëçå~ä=êáåÖíçåÉë and a ringtone. You can hear
the ringtones as you scroll down the list.
Flip Sounds
To set your phone’s sound tones when its flip
closes or opens, select jÉåì > pÉííáåÖë >
pçìåÇë > cäáé=ÅäçëÉÇ or cäáé=çéÉå and a
sound. You can hear the sounds as you scroll
down the list.
Power on/off sound
You can set your phone to play a sound when it
powers on or off. Select jÉåì > pÉííáåÖë >
pçìåÇë > mçïÉê=çåLçÑÑ=ëçìåÇ > bå~ÄäÉÇ.
