The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market

is planning to hold a selection procedure to constitute a reserve for the recruitment of
TEMPORARY STAFF (m/f)
(Category B)
Duties in the field of the examination of trademarks
1. Profile of vacant posts
(a) Examination of applications for Community trademarks as regards both
compliance with formal requirements and the existence of grounds for refusal.
(b) Searches in the Community register of trademarks for possible conflicts with
earlier trademarks.
(c) Other duties, depending on the needs of the Office.
2. Requirements
Applicants' attention is drawn to the high level of professional qualifications required.
Applicants must be nationals of one of the Member States of the European Union, have
completed advanced secondary education, and be fluent in at least two languages of the
European Union.
Applicants must also have at least three years' experience in administrative duties at a
level at least equivalent to that of the duties to be performed (executive and supervisory
duties requiring an advanced level of secondary education). This experience, which may
have been in the public or private sector or in an international organization, must have
been acquired after completion of advanced secondary education.
Applicants with experience in the field of industrial property rights will be given
preference.
Additional special requirements
Applicants must:
— have been born after 1 January 1957,
— have a knowledge of other Community languages; in particular, knowledge of
working languages of the Office (Spanish, German, English, French or Italian) would be
an advantage.
