The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market<br />

is planning to hold a selection procedure to constitute a reserve for the recruitment of<br />
TEMPORARY STAFF (m/f)<br />
(Category B)<br />
Duties in the field of the examination of tra<strong>de</strong>marks<br />
1. Profile of vacant posts<br />
(a) Examination of applications for Community tra<strong>de</strong>marks as regards both<br />
compliance with formal requirements and the existence of grounds for refusal.<br />
(b) Searches in the Community register of tra<strong>de</strong>marks for possible conflicts with<br />
earlier tra<strong>de</strong>marks.<br />
(c) Other duties, <strong>de</strong>pending on the needs of the Office.<br />
2. Requirements<br />
Applicants' attention is drawn to the high level of professional qualifications required.<br />
Applicants must be nationals of one of the Member States of the European Union, have<br />
completed advanced secondary education, and be fluent in at least two languages of the<br />
European Union.<br />
Applicants must also have at least three years' experience in administrative duties at a<br />
level at least equivalent to that of the duties to be performed (executive and supervisory<br />
duties requiring an advanced level of secondary education). This experience, which may<br />
have been in the public or private sector or in an international organization, must have<br />
been acquired after completion of advanced secondary education.<br />
Applicants with experience in the field of industrial property rights will be given<br />
preference.<br />
Additional special requirements<br />
Applicants must:<br />
— have been born after 1 January 1957,<br />
— have a knowledge of other Community languages; in particular, knowledge of<br />
working languages of the Office (Spanish, German, English, French or Italian) would be<br />
an advantage.
