Metropole by Lagerfeld palaces life RECENTLY ACKNOWLEDGED AS THE BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD, THE METROPOLE CONTINUALLY DEVELOPS NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES WITH WHICH TO ENCHANT ITS GUESTS. Presently, it is the swimming pool area located above the ESPA spa that has witnessed a veritable transformation at the hands of two incredibly talented individuals. The first of these two gentlemen, has presided over the fashion industry’s destiny from the latter part of the 20 th century through the beginning of the present one. Catwalk aristocracy, fashion master, and celebrated photographer, it is he that has overseen all matters decorative. ainsi, l’espace piscine situé au dessus de l’espace ESPA se transforme pour accueillir une nouvelle adresse “à quatre mains” dans le carré d’or monégasque. The second, is possibly the best-known chef on the planet. His name adorns no less than 25 gastronomic restaurants around the world from Las Vegas to Macau, New York to Singapore, and in London, Tokyo, Paris, Taipei, Nagoya, and Monaco. He has been the star of culinary television since the 90s, and is the author of 15 cookbooks. It is this grand master of taste that has in turn overseen all matters gustatory. Karl Lagerfeld, fashion’s undisputed master, was given the task of re-imagining the hotel’s outdoor spaces including the swimming pool area’s terrace, gardens, and pool-side restaurant. To be completed by the summer of 2012, Lagerfeld has created something sublime, a colossal work of art incorporating an impressive custom-built windbreak whose 15 glass panels feature a photographic mural recounting Ulysses’ great journey. With 28 Michelin stars to his name, it is the Metropole’s own grand culinary master Joël Robuchon, the man who can transform simple mashed potato into a work of art, that has been charged with the culinary side of things. Having recently opened the only Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant outside of the Land of the Rising Sun, he has now turned his attention to what is to become the hotel’s third gastronomic venue. This new Monegasque restaurant will present the Metropole’s dining clientele with a range of menus catering specifically to their wellbeing. With such an exceptional alliance of talents, this unique and highly anticipated Lagerfeld-Robuchon creation holds the promise of outstanding dining at the Metropole Monte-Carlo in the summer of 2012 La seconde signature apposée sur cette nouvelle adresse monégasque est tout simplement celle d’un des chefs les plus connus de la planète.
