University of Luxembourg
and SPARC Industries could
revolutionise plasma simulation
Another indication that Luxembourg is on the space science and technology map. New spaces
for space are continuously emerging and interdisciplinary research areas continuously spawn.
In the last year, the University of Luxembourg Department for Computational Engineering
Sciences (Legato) and SPARC Industries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
to jointly develop software technology for space applications. Stéphane Bordas, Professor in
computational mechanics within the Department for Computational Engineering Sciences at
the University of Luxembourg, and Dejan Petkow, CEO and Co-Founder of SPARC, present
this new win-win collaboration which is one of the many fruits of a 5-years initiative to build
Interdisciplinary Data and Computational Sciences at the University of Luxembourg.
