2.3 Battery<br />
<strong>VDW</strong>.GOLD is operated by a rechargeable Nickel-MetalHydride (NiMH) battery.<br />

Do not open the unit to replace the battery for any reason as there is the risk of a<br />
short-circuit. Opening the device will invalidate the warranty.<br />
The battery can be replaced only by an authorized service center.<br />
The battery should be fully charged before use.<br />
Recharging needs a certain period of time, while the unit normally operates when the micromotor<br />
is rotating.<br />
When connecting for charging, check that the green LED on the charger is flashing to show<br />
that the charger is properly connected to the power supply.<br />
The battery LED is lit in 3 colours indicating the current battery condition.<br />
Green: battery has sufficient capacity.
