Possible error warnings<br />

Error 1: The micromotor is not properly connected to the unit. Check the connection.<br />

Error 2: The contra-angle has a high resistance during rotation. Check the contra-angle.<br />

If necessary, lubricate.<br />

The display then will read for example:<br />

4.3 ASR (11): Automatic Stop Reverse<br />

On delivery, the ASR function for the motor is active (green LED). Select different functions by<br />

pressing the ASR button. The LED colour will change according to the function selected:<br />

• Green: When the preset torque is reached, the micromotor will turn automatically in<br />

reverse direction (anti-clockwise) until the file no longer encounters resistance,<br />

at which point it will automatically revert to forwards rotation (clockwise).<br />

• Red: The micromotor will turn automatically in reverse direction (anti-clockwise) with<br />

no torque control.<br />

• OFF: When the preset torque is reached, the micromotor will stop automatically. By<br />

pressing again the foot switch it starts moving in reverse direction (anti-clockwise)<br />

until the file no longer encounters resistance, at which point it will automatically<br />

revert to forwards rotation (clockwise).<br />

Acoustic warning signals are given when:<br />

• torque exceeds 75% of preset value.<br />

• during reverse rotation of the micromotor.<br />

When the unit is switched off and then back switched on, it will return to the last setting used<br />

before it was switched off.<br />

4.4 ANA (8): Anatomy<br />

On delivery, the ANA function is inactive. By pressing the button, the LED turns green and<br />

the ANA safety function will be active. In cases of difficult canal anatomy and for new users<br />

in general, it is re<strong>com</strong>mended that the pre-set values are automatically reduced on all files<br />

selected.
