“The camera is my travelling and life companion.
It is a tool which connects people, the subjects
and the photographer. Because the ties, those established
before and during the shoot, are able to
create empathy, they are to be cultivated and developed
with respect. My father, a great travel enthusiast
like me, taught me this: travel in search of
self-discovery and human relationships”. Moretti
says. And Andrea carries this message with him,
right there, at the bottom of his heart’s pocket.
“I have now been working for several years in the
world of the web as an Information System Architect
for various private and public companies. If I am now
a professional photographer I owe it to my father and,
most of all, to my wife who spurned me on to invest
in my passion. I have always been fascinated by people
and constantly look for the “human factor” that
I want to portray through my vision of the world”.
And it is the gesture, that precise human gesture,
upon which Andrea filters the scenes of daily life
and the catering industry. For about four years he
has taken part in important food-and-wine events as
a photographer such as “Sangiovese Purosangue” in
Siena, Rome and Milan. “Le Strade della Mozzarella”
in Paestum, “Ein Prosit” in Tarvisio and the “Festa
della Pasta” in Gragnano, just to mention a few. He
di professione, classe 1969, ne è l’esempio.
“La macchina fotografica è la mia compagna di
viaggio e di vita. È uno strumento che mette in comunicazione
le persone, i soggetti ritratti e il fotografo.
Perché i legami, quelli che instauri prima e durante
uno scatto, sono in grado di creare empatia, vanno
coltivati e portati avanti con rispetto. Mio padre,
grande appassionato di viaggi come me, questo mi ha
insegnato: viaggiare alla scoperta di sé e dei rapporti
umani” racconta Moretti. E questo messaggio Andrea
lo porta sempre con sé proprio lì, in fondo al taschino
del suo cuore.
“Lavoro ormai da diversi anni nel mondo del web
come Information System Architect per diverse aziende
pubbliche e private. Se sono diventato un fotografo
professionista, lo devo in parte a mio padre e, soprattutto,
a mia moglie che mi ha spinto ad investire nella
mia passione. Sono sempre stato affascinato dalle persone
e cerco costantemente il ‘fattore umano’ che voglio
raccontare attraverso la mia visione del mondo”.
Ed è il gesto, quel preciso gesto dell’uomo, su cui Andrea
filtra le scene di vita quotidiana e della ristorazione.
Da circa quattro anni partecipa come fotografo
professionista a manifestazioni enogastronomiche
importanti come “Sangiovese Purosangue” a Siena,
Roma e Milano, “Le strade della Mozzarella“ a Paestum,
“Ein Prosit” a Tarvisio e la “Festa della Pasta”
