Future, well-being, interdependence: key-words for contemporaneous design
issue of interface between the value and the user, that is: how we could perceive
and explore the values that exist in the products, because the artifacts possess
different dimensions like the physiological, the sensorial and the symbolical ones.
This way, we may, then, conclude that the insertion of the values of the product is
really something projectable. Therefore, we leave the incipient ambit of the chain
of value to get to an even bigger dimension, legitimately denominated net or
constellation of value.
The meta-projectual dimension, therefore, also proposes itself as a tool directed
to the widening of the designer’s knowledge and information, aiming to better
guide him inside of the aspects that refer to the constellation of value inherent to
the industrial product, specially the ones relative to the intangible and immaterial
values that compound, nowadays, the projectual complexity.
5. Future, well-being, interconnection: continuous
references for the project
In the scenario of the 20 th century, prevailed the abundance of non-renewable
resources and the uncontrolled consumption, always motivated by the great
propagandist machine, this one also a result from the modern project of the
past century. The debate about scarcity of natural resources, the prevision of
environmental impact, the control of the consumption of non-renewable goods
and the conscious discard, as it is known, did not make part of the disciplines that
constituted the modern solidity.
But as time passed, the environmental issue enhanced and stopped considering
only the technical factors objectives of production, passing to the more complex
arena of proposing a new human behavior and a new lifestyle for the citizens.
Historically, in a first phase related to the environmental issues, the posture
was the practice of the search for the “medicine for damage”, passing, afterward,
to a more preventive phase, in search for the control of the pollution caused by
the modern development process, before getting to a phase of development of
products of low environmental impact. Until we reached the most recent and
mature phase, in the search for sustainable models of consume. In what concerns
