This study aimed to show the effects of protecting intellectual property rights on economic
development in light of the transformations of the digital environment by shedding light on
the fields of intellectual property abuseهAnd the methods of protecting these works added
by the infrastructure, information and legislation based on digital transformation in the
information society,هThe study concluded that strengthening intellectual property
protection systems in general and industrial property in particular would encourage the
transfer of technology and innovations from developed countries to developing countries in
a way that contributes to the economic development of these countries. Finally, the study
recommended the necessity of combating the activity of counterfeiting and illegal copying
of programs, through the effective application of international agreements related to
intellectual property, in a way that enables it to provide a competitive investment
