5. Safety Instructions
1. When you are building the model please note: Be sure to use only the recommended
adhesives inside the hull. Allow all glued joints to dry out fully before you seal the hull.
2. The lead/acid batteries must not be charged in the sealed hull, as this could result in
an explosion.
When you want to charge the batteries, open the hull and remove it first. Be sure to
keep to the recommended charging procedure.
During the charging process inflammable hydrogen gas may be ejected through the
battery´s integral safety valve. It is therefore important to wait at least 1 hour before
installing the batteries in the model.
3. Shortly before running the model you would naturally seal the hull. After sealing it, you
should blow into the valve to check that the hull is airtight: Push a piece of silicone
hose onto the valve and blow into it through your mouth. Don´t place the hull under
excessive pressure - on no account use an air pump or compressed air.
4. When you have finished running the model or when storing it away, open the hull.
