and the banks. With Sportia stepping in, the management<br />

Expansion nach Mexiko<br />
Der französische Fachmarkt-Spezialist plant, sich<br />
in Lateinamerika weiter auszudehnen. Zu diesem<br />
Zweck wird nun ein Tochterunternehmen für den<br />
mexikanischen Markt aufgebaut. Décathlon ist bereits<br />
in Brasilien präsent, wo die Zahl der Filialen im<br />
vergangenen Jahr um drei auf 18 ausgebaut wurde.<br />
In diesem Jahr kam bereits ein weiterer Store hinzu.<br />
Die Leitung der Firma in Mexiko wird Eric Fortune<br />
übertragen. Einen Terminplan oder einen Standort<br />
für den ersten mexikanischen Laden gibt es aber offenbar<br />
noch nicht. Wie es heißt, ist die Kette an dem<br />
mittelamerikanischen Land besonders interessiert<br />
wegen der hohen Bevölkerungszahl, des starken<br />
Wirtschaftswachstums und der recht ausgeprägten<br />
sportlichen Betätigung der Mexikaner. Der Aufbau<br />
der neuen Tochter soll zunächst von Spanien aus organisiert<br />
werden, dem wichtigsten Auslandsmarkt<br />
der Franzosen. Die Spanier sollen auf den Gebieten<br />
Organisation, Personalwesen und Kommunikation<br />
das Mexiko-Geschäft aufbauen helfen.<br />

Die Investment-Firma LGV Capital hat sich nach<br />
fünf Jahren entschlossen, den britischen Händler<br />
Snow + Rock zu veräußern. Zugegriffen hat der<br />
belgische Outdoor-Spezialist AS Adventure,<br />
der zudem die Ketten Bever in den Niederlanden<br />
und Cotswold Outdoor auf den britischen Inseln<br />
kontrolliert. Neben Outdoor- und Skigeschäften<br />
betreibt Snow + Rock zudem Spezial-Shops für<br />
Fahrrad und Running.<br />
Die neue Kombination aus Cotswold und Snow +<br />
Rock wird mit einem Umsatz von zuletzt 210 Mio.<br />
Pfund Sterling (288,7 Mio. Euro) zum größten<br />
Outdoor-Händler in Großbritannien vor JD Sports<br />
Fashion (170 Mio. Pfund/233,7 Mio. Euro). Gesteuert<br />
wird die Allianz von Hans Falkenburg, CEO<br />
von Cotswold. Der bisherige Chef von Snow + Rock<br />
und zuvor langjährige Geschäftsführer von Berghaus,<br />
Richard Cotter, tritt zurück, wird aber noch<br />
für einige Monate beratend zur Seite stehen.<br />
Erst vor kurzem wechselte AS Adventure selbst den<br />
Besitzer: Lion Capital verkaufte die Gruppe mehrheitlich<br />

Im vergangenen Jahr legten die Online-Umsätze in<br />
den fünf größten europäischen Märkten (Frankreich,<br />
Großbritannien, Deutschland, Italien,<br />
Spanien) um 19 Prozent zu und erreichten einen<br />
Wert von rund 6,5 Mrd. Euro. Das ergab eine<br />
Untersuchung der Marktforscher der NPD Group.<br />
Das ist ein substantieller Anteil von 18 Prozent am<br />
gesamten Volumen dieser Länder.<br />
Gleichzeitig zeigt die Studie aber auch, dass der<br />
Sporthandel im Vergleich zu anderen Branchen<br />
immer noch einen recht niedrigen Internet-Anteil<br />
aufweist. Zum Vergleich: Bei Spielzeug liegt<br />
dieser Wert schon bei einem Viertel der gesamten<br />
Erlöse. NPD fand heraus, dass zwei Drittel aller<br />
Kaufentscheidungen nach wie vor im stationären<br />
Laden endgültig getroffen werden. Bei 61 Prozent<br />
aller Einkäufe geht es um den Bedarf nach einem<br />
Produkt anstatt einer bestimmten Marke oder gar<br />
einem spezifischen Modell.<br />
