kemijo in tehnologijo za~eli raziskovati pripravo<br />
nanokompozitov na osnovi gline, nano`i~k in<br />
nanomagnetov. Vzpostavili smo povezave tako<br />
s slovenskimi kot tudi z evropskimi raziskovalci.<br />
Problem opremljenosti za pripravo in karakterizacijo<br />
nanokompozitov smo re{ili v letu<br />
<strong>2005</strong>, ko smo s pomo~jo Ministrstva za visoko<br />
{olstvo, znanost in tehnologijo kupili dvopol`ni<br />
laboratorijski ekstruder (Teach-Line ZK 25T, Dr.<br />
Collin GmbH) in stroj za injekcijsko vbrizgavanje<br />
(Babyplast, Rambaldi+Co.). Dvopol`ni ekstruder<br />
je opremljen z vodno kopeljo za hlajenje in<br />
granulatorjem. Kapaciteta ekstruderja je do<br />
»3kg/h materiala, z njim pa lahko poleg<br />
nanokompozitov pripravljamo tudi klasi~ne<br />
kompozite in polimerne me{anice. Z granulatorjem<br />
lahko kompozite ali me{anice pripravimo<br />
za nadaljnjo predelavo, ki jo omogo~a stroj<br />
za injekcijsko vbrizganje, Babyplast. S primernim<br />
orodjem lahko pripravimo epruvete za dolo~anje<br />
mehanskih lastnosti ali pa kakr{enkoli izdelek<br />
do velikosti 9 cm 3 . Ker je Babyplast avtomatski<br />
miniaturni industrijski stroj, lahko pripravljamo<br />
tudi manj{e ali ve~je serije izdelkov za industrijske<br />
partnerje.<br />

We established connections with various research<br />
groups within Slovenia and Europe. The<br />
lack of equipment for preparation of nanocomposites<br />
and specimens for the testing of<br />
mechanical properties was solved in <strong>2005</strong>.<br />
With the help of the Ministry of higher education,<br />
science and technology we purchased a<br />
twin-screw extruder Teach-Line ZK 25T (Dr.<br />
Collin GmbH) and injection moulding machine<br />
Babyplast (Rambaldi+Co.). The twin-screw extruder<br />
is equipped with a water bath and<br />
strand pelletizer. The capacity of the extruder<br />
is up to 3 kg/h, and it can also be used for the<br />
preparation of classical composites and polymer<br />
blends. The pelletizer enables us to prepare<br />
materials in a form, which can be directly<br />
used in further processing by the injection<br />
moulding machine. We use the latter to prepare<br />
test specimens for determination of mechanical<br />
properties, however, any other product<br />
of sizes up to 9 cm 3 can be made. Since<br />
the Babyplast is a miniaturized industrial machine<br />
we are able to produce smaller or bigger<br />
series of products for our industrial partners.<br />
