PODRO^JA DEJAVNOSTI<br />

[tudij kemijskih pretvorb razli~nih izhodnih<br />

spojin v `elene produkte v homogenih in<br />

heterogenih kataliziranih ali nekataliziranih<br />

sistemih. Teoreti~na dolo~itev termodinamskih<br />

mo`nosti za potek pretvorb in eksperimentalna<br />

dolo~itev kineti~nih parametrov poteka teh<br />

pretvorb. Ker v praksi ve~ina fizikalnih in<br />

kemijskih pretvorb poteka v ve~faznih sistemih,<br />

je velik del raziskav namenjenih {tudiju interakcij<br />

kemijske kinetike s transportnimi pojavi.<br />

Raziskave potekajo s poudarkom na:<br />

- oksidaciji organskih polutantov v membranskih<br />

reaktorjih<br />

- optimizaciji hidrodinamskih pogojev obratovanja<br />

eno- in ve~cevnih membranskih<br />

kontaktorjev<br />

- interpretaciji eksperimentalnih meritev na<br />

podlagi matemati~nega modeliranja in<br />

optimizacije parametrov<br />

- razvoju Pd-Cu bimetalnih katalizatorjev,<br />

uporabljenih v integriranem procesu za<br />

denitrifikacijo podtalnice<br />

- kineti~nim in mehanisti~nim {tudijam<br />

Study of the chemical transformation of reactants<br />

to desirable products in homogeneous<br />

and heterogeneous catalytic or non-catalytic<br />

systems. Theoretical determination of thermodynamic<br />

possibility for certain transformation<br />

and experimental determination of kinetic parameters<br />

for these transformations. In practice<br />

most physical and chemical transformations<br />

occur in the multiphase systems, therefore research<br />

efforts are focused on the study of the<br />

interaction between intrinsic kinetics and transport<br />

phenomena. The emphasys of the research<br />

is put on:<br />

- catalytic wet oxidation of organics dissolved<br />

in wastewater carried out in membrane reactors<br />

- optimization of process hydrodynamic conditions<br />

in single- and multi-channel membrane<br />

contactors<br />

- interpretation of experimental data through<br />

mathematical modelling and optimization of<br />

parameters<br />

- development of Pd-Cu bimetallic catalysts for
