- Dilema o smrti Velikega Vojvode Mirka<br />

Petrovi}a (1820-1867), ~lana slavne ~rnogorske<br />

dinastije Njego{, je bila prisotna vse<br />

od njegove smrti do danes. Pri razjasnitvi tega<br />

vpra{anja smo sodelovali z elementno analizo<br />

(z uporabo ICP-AES in ICP-MS) vzorcev las<br />

Mirka Petrovi}a in {e nekaterih ~lanov dinastije<br />

Njego{. Rezultati {tudije so pokazali, da vzrok<br />

njegove smrt verjetno ni bila zastrupitev,<br />

ampak je nastopila zaradi bolezni (kolera).<br />

- V okviru aplikativnega projekta (z EIMV in<br />

TE[) smo v sodelovanju s prof. Bernerjem (IEP,<br />

Dunaj) zasnovali sistem za vzor~evanje delcev<br />

na izvoru (dimnik). Osnova sistema je nizkotla~ni<br />

kaskadni impaktor, ki lo~uje delce glede<br />

na njihovo velikost v deset velikostnih<br />

razredov (0,015-16,0 µm), in je prilagojen<br />

meritvam pod ekstremnimi pogoji (visoke<br />

temperature in vlaga ter koncentracija<br />

delcev). S tem sistemom smo nato opravili<br />

prve meritve emisij trdnih delcev na dimniku<br />

TE[ (blok 4, na vi{ini 50 m, Slika 1).<br />

Vzporedno smo izpeljali tudi meritve imisij<br />

na dveh izbranih lokacijah, ki sta razli~no<br />

oddaljeni od izvora. Zbranim depozitom<br />

delcev smo dolo~ili masno porazdelitev in jih<br />

kemijsko okarakterizirali (dolo~itev elementov<br />

pomembnih kot sledilci).<br />

- The uncertainty about the cause of death of<br />

Duke Mirko Petrovi} (1820-1867), a member<br />

of a famous Njego{ Dynasty of Montenegro,<br />

existed from his death till now. In order<br />

to elucidate whether or not he died of<br />

natural causes we performed an elemental<br />

analysis study (using ICP-AES and ICP-MS) on<br />

samples of his hair, and also on hair samples<br />

of some other members of the Njego{ family.<br />

The results of this study suggested that<br />

he was not poisoned but rather died of a disease<br />

(cholera).<br />

- In the frame of an applied research project<br />

(with EIMV and TE[) we designed, in cooperation<br />

with Prof. Berner (IEP, Vienna), a special<br />

system for sampling aerosol particles directly<br />

at the source of emission. The system<br />

is based on a low-pressure cascade impactor,<br />

which allows size-segregated sampling of<br />

particles in the range 0.015-16.0 µm, and<br />

can operate under extreme conditions (high<br />

temperature, humidity and particle concentrations).<br />

Using such a system we performed<br />

measurements of emission of aerosol particles<br />

at the stack of TE[ (Block 4, at the height<br />

of 50 m, Figure 1) as well as sampling at two<br />
