Cement:<br />

V sklopu raziskav za SALONIT Anhovo smo<br />

zaklju~ili raziskave vplivov razli~no topnih<br />

karbonatov na hidratacijo ter nastanek<br />

hidratiziranih faz v portland cementu. Topnostni<br />

parametri karbonatov vplivajo na nastanek<br />

specifi~nih faz, ~as hidratacije pa na kon~no<br />

fazno sestavo hidratiziranega cementa.<br />

Sintetizirali smo ~ist tetrakalcijev monokarboaluminat<br />

11-hidrat, ki se pojavlja v<br />

hidratiziranih cementih z apnencem, in ga<br />

okarakterizirali s termi~no analizo, pra{kovno<br />

rentgensko difrakcijo ter FTIR spektroskopijo.<br />

Strukturna analiza drugih materialov:<br />

Z jedrsko magnetno resonanco smo prou~evali<br />

tudi z biolo{kega stali{~a zelo zanimive myoinositol<br />

heksafosfatne spojine. Te spojine igrajo<br />

pomembno vlogo v prehrani, pri zdravju in tudi<br />

na podro~ju konzervatorstva. Posebej zanimivo<br />

je delovanje fitatne kisline kot antioksidanta, ki<br />

z veliko afiniteto ve`e nase `elezo. S spektroskopijo<br />

fosforjevih jeder smo dobili vpogled v<br />

tvorbo vezi med atomi `eleza, kisika in fosforja<br />

in v lokalno strukturo v amorfnih paramagnetnih<br />

`elezovih fitatih.<br />

Jedrsko magnetno resonanco smo uporabljali<br />

tudi za {tudij ionskih teko~in in karakterizacijo<br />

trdnih farmacevtskih vzorcev industrijskih<br />

partnerjev.<br />

Vzporedno smo ves ~as razvijali NMR metode<br />

za {tudij strukture anorganskih materialov.<br />

parameters were shown to influence the<br />

formation of hydrated phases to various extents<br />

and hydration time dependencies were<br />

assessed.<br />

Tetracalcium monocarboaluminate 11-hydrate,<br />

the compound that appears in hydrated<br />

limestone–containing portland cement, was<br />

synthesised and characterised by thermal<br />

analysis, X-ray powder diffraction and FTIR<br />

spectroscopy.<br />

Structural analysis of other materials:<br />

Application of broadline phosphorus NMR<br />

spectroscopy was extended to biologically relevant<br />

myo-inositol hexaphosphate (phytate)<br />

compounds. These compounds play an important<br />

role in nutrition, health and conservation<br />

sciences. Especially remarkable is an<br />

antioxidant property of the phytic acid, which<br />

derives from the high binding affinity of this<br />

acid for iron. Broadline phosphorus NMR provided<br />

insight into formation of bonds between<br />

phosphorus, oxygen, and iron atoms and offered<br />

a picture of a short-range structure<br />

within amorphous paramagnetic ironphytates.<br />

Several solid-state NMR measurements were<br />

performed also on samples of ionic liquids and<br />

on pharmaceutical samples from industrial<br />

partners.<br />

In parallel, the methodology for structural<br />

description of inorganic materials was being<br />

developed.<br />
