- <strong>2005</strong> smo izku{nje, ki smo jih pridobili pri<br />

raziskavah novih materialov za litijeve baterije,<br />

uporabili pri optimizaciji delovanja baterij cinkzrak,<br />

ki jih proizvaja podjetje Iskra TELA d.d.,<br />

[entvid pri Sti~ni. Izkazalo se je namre~, da je<br />

tudi pri tem tipu baterij potrebno pripraviti<br />

pozitivno elektrodo z optimirano porozno<br />

arhitekturo, ki zagotovlja simultani dostop<br />

zraka, elektronov in ionov do ~im ve~jega dela<br />

povr{ine elektrode. S tem maksimiramo<br />

povr{insko gostoto katalitskih mest za elektrodne<br />

reakcije, kar je klju~no za delovanje<br />

baterije cink-zrak pri visokih tokovnih gostotah.<br />

Izbolj{ano delovanje baterij cink-zrak je Iskra<br />

TELI omogo~ilo sklenitev nove pogodbe, na<br />

osnovi katere je to podjetje postalo eden od<br />

vodilnih proizvajalcev specialnih baterij cink-zrak<br />

v Evropi.<br />

ners. In the period of 2004 - <strong>2005</strong> we used the<br />

experience gained during the research of advanced<br />

lithium batteries in optimization of a<br />

zinc-air battery system produced by the national<br />

battery producer Iskra TELA d.d., [entvid pri<br />

Sti~ni, Slovenia. Like the electrodes in lithium<br />

batteries, the zinc-air battery also requires a<br />

carefully designed system of pores in order to<br />

provide a simultaneous access of air, electrons<br />

and ions to the electrocatalytic sites where the<br />

electrochemical reactions take place. Optimization<br />

of pore size and distribution, together<br />

with other improvements, lead to a successful<br />

maximization of current density and total capacity<br />

delivered by the zinc air battery. Based<br />

on these improvements, Iskra TELA has signed<br />

new contracts which launched this company<br />

among the most important European producers<br />

of zinc-air batteries for special applications.<br />
