1.1.5) Collating Other Documentation Related to <strong>Human</strong> <strong>Rights</strong> Violations<br />
Documents, including medical reports, ownership documents, personal photographs<br />
and maps, are also necessary evidence <strong>for</strong> the legal and historical recording of<br />
incidents.<br />
Means of Verification<br />
o Hundreds of documents were filed and transferred to other PCHR's units.<br />
o Many of these documents were used by PCHR’s Legal Aid Unit.<br />
1.1.6) Writing <strong>Report</strong>s on <strong>Human</strong> <strong>Rights</strong> Violations<br />
Field workers wrote detailed reports on human rights violations, in which eyewitness<br />
testimonies and the field workers’ notes were included, in order to give a<br />
comprehensive description of violations.<br />
Means of Verification<br />
o Field workers wrote at least 1,500 field reports on human rights violations.<br />
1.1.7) Creating Files on Specific Violations Perpetrated by the Israel Military<br />
<strong>for</strong> Transfer to PCHR’s Legal Unit<br />
The unit creates individual files on specific violations perpetrated by IOF. This<br />
includes killings, injuries, land leveling and house demolition. <strong>Human</strong> rights<br />
violations are classified according to the type of violation and these files include<br />
documentation and physical evidence, such as testimonies, maps, photographs and<br />
medical reports.<br />
Means of Verification<br />
o All human rights violations are filed.<br />
o Files were transferred to other PCHR’s units.<br />
o The unit answered at least 120 inquiries by human rights, development and other<br />
organizations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip using these files.<br />
1.1.8) Monitoring IOF Redeployment from the Gaza Strip and the Evacuation<br />
of 4 Settlements in the West Bank<br />
The unit closely monitored the IOF redeployment from the Gaza Strip and the<br />
evacuation of 4 settlements in the West Bank, including attacks on <strong>Palestinian</strong><br />
civilians and the siege imposed on <strong>Palestinian</strong> communities that accompanied the<br />
implementation of the Israeli Disengagement Plan.<br />
Means of Verification<br />
o The unit wrote 10 detailed reports (Live from the Field).<br />
o These reports were used by journalists and other interested people.<br />
