was an Israeli settler called Ashir Weisgen, 40, from “Shavot Rachel” settlement,<br />

stopped the vehicle and went towards the guard of the industrial zone of “Shilo”<br />

settlement. He drank water and stole the guard’s gun. Soon after, he ran back<br />

towards his vehicle and opened fire at the two <strong>Palestinian</strong> workers from a very close<br />

range. The two workers were instantly killed. Then, the settler ran into the industrial<br />

zone and opened fire at a number of <strong>Palestinian</strong> workers who were waiting <strong>for</strong> a<br />

vehicle to transport them out of the settlement. One of these workers, Bassam Mousa<br />

Tawafsha, 40, from Senjil village near Ramallah, was killed. Two other workers were<br />

also wounded: Ussama Mousa Tawafsha, 30, from Senjil village and Rawhi Abu<br />

Hani, 35, from Qaryout village near Nablus. The two were evacuated to an Israeli<br />

hospital, but the <strong>for</strong>mer was later pronounced dead.<br />

On 6 August 2005, an Israeli settler opened fire at a civilian car that was transporting<br />

a number of <strong>Palestinian</strong> workers from their work places inside Israel to their homes in<br />

Hebron in the West Bank. Two workers were wounded: Mahmoud Hassan al-‘Adam,<br />

24, seriously wounded by a live bullet that that entered the right shoulder and exited<br />

the chest; and Kamal Ahmed al-‘Adam, 34, wounded by a live bullet to the back. On<br />

the same day, a number of Israeli settlers in settlement posts in the centre of Hebron<br />

attacked 16-year-old Anas Zuhair al-Bayed. He sustained injuries to the mouth, the<br />

neck and the right leg, and bruises throughout the body.<br />

On 13 November 2005, a number of Israeli settlers from the Jewish School in “Kiryat<br />

Arba” settlement, east of Hebron, attacked a number of houses in Wad al-Husain<br />

neighborhood using stones, iron bars and empty and explosive bottles. A <strong>Palestinian</strong><br />

child, 3-year-old Nour Suleiman Abu Su’aifan was seriously injured in the left foot.<br />

Two houses were also damaged.<br />

Israeli settlers also launched dozens of attacks on <strong>Palestinian</strong> civilian property in<br />

2005. On 24 January 2005, a number of Israeli settlers living in settlement posts in<br />

the center of Hebron launched a series of attacks on <strong>Palestinian</strong> civilian and property<br />

in the old town of Hebron. According to eyewitnesses, the settlers threw stones at a<br />

number of houses and shops, damaging them.<br />

On 16 May 2005, Israeli settlers living in “Kedumim” settlement, northeast of<br />

Qalqilya, escorted by IOF, razed 30 dunums of agricultural land planted with olives<br />

owned by ‘Abdul Latif Mohammed Abu Daya in the neighboring Ku<strong>for</strong> Qaddoum<br />

village, in order to expand the a<strong>for</strong>ementioned settlement.<br />

On 9 July 2005, a number of Israeli settlers moved from the “Avraham Avino”<br />

settlement post in the old town of Hebron and attacked <strong>Palestinian</strong> houses in al-Sahla<br />

Street and near the Ibrahimi mosque with stones and empty bottles. A number of<br />

houses belonging to the families of Abu Hadid, al-Muhtasseb, al-Salaima and Sayed<br />

Ahmed were damaged.<br />

On 19 August 2005, a number of Israeli settlers from “Sha’ar Hatekva”, southeast of<br />

Qalqilya, attacked <strong>Palestinian</strong> civilian property in the neighboring ‘Azzoun ‘Atma<br />

village. They threw stones at <strong>Palestinian</strong> civilian cars and set fire to areas of<br />

agricultural land and a number of greenhouses.<br />
