Complaints Regarding Attacks on Fishermen<br />

In 2005, the unit pursued 8 complaints from 2004 regarding attacks on <strong>Palestinian</strong><br />

fishermen in the Gaza Strip.<br />

Complaints Regarding the Return of Victims’ Bodies<br />

In 2005, the unit pursued 15 cases to request the return of victims’ bodies, including<br />

some cases from previous years. IOF have continued to hold the bodies of some<br />

<strong>Palestinian</strong>s, refusing to deliver them to their families <strong>for</strong> burial.<br />

Other Complaints<br />

In 2005, the unit submitted 11 complaints to Israeli authorities regarding other issues:<br />

• The unit submitted a complaint regarding the evacuation of <strong>Palestinian</strong> civilians<br />

from their homes in Beit Lahia, which were intended <strong>for</strong> demolition by IOF.<br />

• The unit submitted a complaint concerning the denial of access of Korean<br />

engineers to the Gaza Strip to fix medical equipment.<br />

• The unit submitted a complaint concerning the denial of access of a <strong>Palestinian</strong><br />

patient to medical care in Israel.<br />

• The unit submitted a complaint to the Association <strong>for</strong> Civil <strong>Rights</strong> in Israel to<br />

obtain identity cards <strong>for</strong> Zaki al-'Amoudi's sons.<br />
