To the seventeenth century belongs the work <strong>of</strong> Vertranius,<br />
N. Heinsius, and Freinsheim. I. F. Gronovius died in 1671,<br />
before the publication <strong>of</strong> his edition, which was completed by<br />
his son, lac. Gronovius, also editor <strong>of</strong> the Variorum edition <strong>of</strong><br />
1721. In 1687 came <strong>The</strong>odoras de Eycke. Ernesti's useful<br />
Variorum edition was published in 1752. <strong>The</strong> nineteenth cen-<br />
tury editors <strong>of</strong> the Annals include Walther, Euperti, Heraeus,<br />
