9.5 Removing the Voltage Selector Switch<br />
Prerequisites Machine shut down<br />
Engine cool<br />
Removal Follow the procedure below to remove the Voltage Selector Switch (VSS).<br />
WARNING<br />
Electric shock hazard. High voltage exists inside at voltage selector switch when<br />
the engine is running. High voltage can cause severe injury or death.<br />
Shut down the generator before performing this procedure.<br />
9. Remove the air cleaner assembly.<br />
10.Remove the cover (a) from the voltage selector switch box.<br />
11.Remove the switch handle (b), locking ring (c), and face plate (d).<br />
12.Label, then disconnect all the wires attached to the VSS (e).<br />

13.Remove the mounting plate (f).<br />
14.Remove the VSS (e) and support plate (g) from the box.<br />
15.Remove the support plate from the VSS.<br />
The procedure is now complete.<br />
