In this paper, we present an empirical study on collaborative<br />
visualizations that were conducted in the Virtual Campus <strong>of</strong><br />
NTNU. The results are discussed in light <strong>of</strong> how to develop <strong>and</strong><br />
improve the campus. This includes in particular the design <strong>of</strong><br />
Creative Virtual Workshop – a framework that supports creating,<br />
demonstrating, storing, <strong>and</strong> retrieving <strong>of</strong> 3D constructions.<br />
The paper contributes towards C3: Creative Virtual Workshop<br />
framework. In addition, it makes a minor contribution to C2:<br />
Methodology for learning with educational visualizations in 3D<br />
CVEs.<br />
The paper partly answers research question RQ2a: How to design<br />
