Performing Measurements
Step 4: Enter Measurement Details
Tips
• You can define color bars by measurement (see page 8-5) or by
importing spot colors from a spot color library (see page 5-1).
• For density measurements, use a color bar containing primary colors
only. Non-primary colors will be skipped during measurement.
• Density tolerances are relative values. If the maximum negative
tolerance is 10% and the target density is 2.0, for example, density
values ranging from 1.8 to 2.0 are within the tolerance limits.

Step 4: Enter Measurement Details
Specify the details which clearly identify the measurement you are about
to make (see Fig. 3-4).
• PROOF PRINTER: Device on which the proof was output
• USER: Your name
• JOB: Publication, edition, page number, etc.
• INFO TEXT: Any comment you like (optional)
A unique measurement ID is created automatically.
The details will be included in measurement files and reports and printed
on labels. The details of proof measurements can also be used as filters
in the trend analysis function (see page 6-1).
