2.1 Reagents
All chemicals were purchased from well-known chemical companies, and used as received
without further purification: Na 2 WO 4·2H 2 O, Na 2 MoO 4·2H 2 O, YCl 3·6H 2 O, and MnCl 2·4H 2 O
were purchased from Riedel-deHaën; FeCl 3·6H 2 O, HCl and D 2 O were purchased from
AppliChem; CuCl 2·2H 2 O, CoCl 2·6H 2 O, H 2 O 2 (30%), TeO 2 , GeO 2 , As 2 O 3 and Sb 2 O 3 were
purchased from Fluka Chemie.
