Published Results<br />

Na 8 [Tm 2 (H 2 O) 10 W 22 O 72 (OH) 2 ]·41H 2 O (Na-7)<br />

The same procedure as for NaTb-3 was followed, but using 0.80 g <strong>of</strong> TmCl 3·H 2 O instead <strong>of</strong><br />

Tb(CH 3 COO) 3·H 2 O. Yield: 1.81 g (19.8 %). IR for Na-7 in cm -1 : 943(m), 868(sh), 820(s),<br />

711(s), 513(w), 419(w), see Figure 3.1. Anal. Calcd (%) for Na-7: Na, 2.8; W, 60.6; Tm, 5.1.<br />

Found (%): Na, 2.9; W, 60.0; Tm, 4.8.<br />

Na 8 [Yb 2 (H 2 O) 10 W 22 O 72 (OH) 2 ]·46H 2 O (Na-8)<br />

The same procedure as for NaTb-3 was followed, but using 1.24 g Yb(NO 3 ) 3·5H 2 O instead <strong>of</strong><br />

Tb(CH 3 COO) 3·H 2 O. Yield: 1.50 g (16.2 %). IR for Na-8 in cm -1 : 943(m), 868(sh), 820(s),<br />

711(s), 513(w), 419(w), see Figure 3.1. Anal. Calcd (%) for Na-8: Na, 2.7; W, 59.7; Yb, 5.1.<br />

Found (%): Na, 3.1; W, 59.0; Yb, 6.0.<br />

Na 5 Lu[Lu 2 (H 2 O) 10 W 22 O 72 (OH) 2 ]·44H 2 O (NaLu-9)<br />

The same procedure as for NaTb-3 was followed, but using 1.07 g LuCl 3·5 H 2 O instead <strong>of</strong><br />

Tb(CH 3 COO) 3·H 2 O. Yield: 1.20 g (12.5 %). IR for NaLu-9: 943(m), 868(sh), 820(s), 711(s),<br />

513(w), 419(w) cm -1 , see Figure 3.1. Anal. Calcd (%) for NaLu-9: Na, 2.0; W, 59.0; Lu, 8.0.<br />

Found (%): Na, 2.4; W, 60.0; Lu, 6.8.<br />

Na 8 [Y 2 (H 2 O) 10 W 22 O 72 (OH) 2 ]·46H 2 O (Na-10)<br />

The same procedure as NaTb-3 was followed using 0.69 g YCl 3·6H 2 O. Yield: 1.10 g<br />

(12.2 %). IR for Na-10 in cm -1 : 943(m), 868(sh), 820(s), 711(s), 513(w), 419(w), see also<br />
