Radiography<br />

Associate in Applied Science Degree – XRAY.AAS.C26<br />

The Radiography program is based on a minimum of two years of full-time study which combines classroom<br />

theory with clinical experiences. The program is designed to prepare a person to be a competent professional<br />

member of the health care team. This degree typically is not designed for transfer.<br />

Radiography Major (13 courses) Credit hours: 55<br />

All courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher.<br />

Graduates are eligible to apply for admission to the<br />

certification exam administered by the American<br />

Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and<br />

also to make application to the Illinois Emergency<br />

Management Agency (IEMA)/Division of Nuclear<br />

Safety (DNS) for their Illinois state license.<br />

Each student in this program must have a physical<br />

exam, criminal background check without<br />

any disqualifying convictions and a negative<br />

drug screen.<br />
