Veterans and Military Service Benefits<br />

KCC offers full education benefits under specific federal and<br />

state laws which provide education and training for qualified<br />

veterans and the children of deceased or disabled veterans. Federal<br />

and state-affiliated educational programs currently administered<br />

veterans coordinator in the Office of Financial Aid.<br />

Foundation Scholarship<br />

Program<br />

Since 1969, the <strong>Kankakee</strong> Community College Foundation has<br />

sponsored a scholarship program which recognizes the academic<br />

excellence, financial need, and outstanding achievements of KCC<br />

students. The current scholarship program provides financial assistance<br />

to more than 250 students. Scholarships are applicable<br />

to educational expenses.<br />

Scholarship awards are normally divided equally between the<br />

fall and spring semesters.<br />

Scholarship descriptions and applications are available in the<br />

Office of Financial Aid, KCC Foundation Office and from high<br />

school counselors. Applicants must reside in the KCC district<br />

unless otherwise specified.<br />
