Welding Technology<br />

Associate in Applied Science Degree – WELD.AAS.C33<br />

The Welding curriculum is designed to provide the student with fundamental theory in the technology of welding<br />

processes, metallurgy, and fabrication design. He or she will develop practical skills in drafting, tungsten, and<br />

inert gas welding, metal inert gas welding, stick electrode welding, oxyacetylene welding, oxyacetylene cutting<br />

and oxyacetylene brazing. Students will be required to furnish personal protective equipment and tools. Welding<br />

Technology graduates are generally prepared to enter welding programs at selected colleges and universities<br />

with junior status.<br />
