BACHELOR OF MUSIC IN CHURCH MUSIC
The Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music prepares future leaders for
music ministry in the church. The course of study affirms both the rich
heritage of the sacred musical tradition and contemporary worship styles
practiced in many churches today. This degree is also appropriate for those
students pursuing graduate study in church music at the seminary/graduate
school level.
The required internships provide an opportunity for students to practice
their craft in a real-world environment. Students are expected to provide
their own transportation to and from the internship site. Because the
internship experience offers valuable interaction with professionals and
spiritual mentoring, students are encouraged to enroll for as many
internship credit hours as their schedule permits. Internship may be
repeated for credit.
