The Chaplain serves as spiritual advisor to students, faculty, and
administration. The chaplain is responsible for providing and
supervising all aspects of religious life on campus, which include:
community worship and prayer; advising and coordinating the activities
of student religious groups.
In all the Chaplain does, the goal is to help people get a clearer
understanding of what they believe and how they relate their faith to
everyday life. Because of this, much of the Chaplain’s work is done in
talking and listening with people for questions on matters of faith, life,
family, God, spirituality, and personal crises. The Chaplain offers
liturgical/sacramental services such as communion and an Ash
Wednesday service, and is available to assists faculty and students cope
with stress and to discern God’s call for their lives, which includes
questions of purpose, values, ethics, and questions about life.
