provided about how you can implement this
technique as part of the transport decisionmaking
process, with details of the stages or
elements involved (where appropriate).
In some cases, this includes examples of
useful approaches that could be used in your
transport project, and advice on how to assess
whether you have addressed the key issues,
before, during and after implementation.

The practical information column provides
advice, usually in the form of answers to a
number of key questions:

What skills are required?
How is this used with other techniques?
What are the drawbacks?
A description of the tool and
the alternative ways in which
it can be used;

Practical guidance from Practice Examples researched in
the GUIDEMAPS project;
A short explanation of the set of techniques related to this
tool; and
Potential problems that may be experienced when using
these techniques.
