‘Style Parts’ parameters<br />

This function group can be selected using [MENU] button<br />

‰ “Performance Edit” ‰ “Style Parts”.<br />

Exp. Pedal<br />

Select “Off” if you don’t need pedal expression for the<br />

selected part. This means that the Music Style part in<br />

question no longer responds to an expression pedal<br />

you may have connected to the SWITCH/EXPRESSION<br />

socket.<br />

If you are not sure which Music Style parts still<br />

receive expression messages, and if you want all to<br />

receive them, you can select this field and press the<br />

If you are not sure which Music Style parts still<br />

receive expression messages, and if no Music Style<br />

part should receive them, you can select this field<br />

and press the [CURSOR÷VALUE] dial.<br />

The parameters of this function group apply to the eight<br />

Arranger parts (i.e. the parts used to play back the<br />

selected Music Style).<br />

1. Use the [CURSOR÷VALUE] dial to select the<br />

Music Style part you want to edit (ADrum,<br />

ABass, Acc1, Acc2, Acc3, Acc4, Acc4, Acc5,<br />

Acc6).<br />

The display shows the settings for the selected part.<br />

2. Use the dial to select and set the desired<br />

parameter(s)<br />

The following parameters are available:<br />

Mute<br />

Allows you to mute the selected part, so that it is no<br />

longer audible.<br />

Solo<br />

Allows you to solo the selected part, which means<br />

that all other Music Style parts are switched off.<br />

Volume<br />

Adjusts the volume of the selected Music Style part.<br />

Selecting “0” means that the part is question is no<br />

longer audible.<br />

Split<br />

This page allows you to set two keyboard-related<br />

parameters. It can be selected using [MENU] button ‰<br />

“Performance Edit” ‰ “Split”.<br />

The “Split Point” parameter allows you to set the split<br />

point.<br />

This parameter allows you to set the Hold function<br />

for the LWR part.<br />

Off, On<br />

If you set this parameter to “On”, the notes of the<br />

LWR part go on sounding until you play other notes<br />

in the left keyboard area. (This function is only available<br />

while the [SPLIT] button lights.)<br />

If you select “Off”, the LWR part stops sounding as<br />

soon as you release all keys in the left area.<br />

Key<br />

This function allows you to transpose the <strong>BK</strong>-<strong>7m</strong>’s pitch<br />

in semi-tone steps. Depending on the mode setting, this<br />

transposition applies to all sections or just a specific section.<br />

It can be selected using [MENU] button ‰ “Performance<br />

Edit” ‰ “Key” or by pressing the [KEY] button. See<br />

“Changing the key” on p. 37.<br />
