The figures above represent the number of campuses in <strong>San</strong> <strong>Antonio</strong> ISD which received a Gold<br />

Performance Acknowledgement (GPA) from the Texas Education Agency in recognition of<br />

outstanding performance. The standard for the College Ready component of GPAs increased by<br />

five points in <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

• For advanced courses, 30% or more of 9th-12th graders must complete and receive a final<br />

grade for at least one Advanced/Dual Credit course.<br />

• Gold level attendance rates are as follows: High <strong>School</strong> 95%, Middle/Jr. High 96%,<br />

Elementary 97%.<br />

• RHSP (Recommended High <strong>School</strong> Program) required 85% or more of graduates<br />

meeting the recommended or distinguished program requirements.<br />

• TSI ELA and Math were added to this program in 2006. To achieve the gold standard, a<br />

campus must have 65% or more of 11th grade students scoring at college ready levels in<br />

English Language Arts (ELA) or Math.<br />

• Commended is the highest achievement level on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge<br />

and Skills (TAKS); commended scores are determined by grade level. To qualify for a<br />

gold performance acknowledgement, a campus must have 30% or more of its students<br />

scoring at or above the Commended standard.<br />

• Comparable Improvement (CI) in Reading/ELA and Math is a measure of the average<br />

Texas Growth Index. Campuses must score in the top quartile within the State of Texas.<br />

• For College-Ready awards (added in 2009), campuses must have at least 40% of<br />

graduates who scored at or above the college-ready criteria on both ELA and mathematics<br />

on the TAKS exit-level test, or the SAT test, or the ACT test.<br />
