Lesson Objectives Further Adventures of 5 Christopher Columbus Core Content Objectives Students will: Recall that 1492 was the year of Columbus’s first voyage to America Describe why we remember Columbus on Columbus Day Explain why Europeans eventually thought Columbus had discovered a New World Explain that native people were already living on the continent where Columbus’s ships landed Language Arts Objectives The following language arts objectives are addressed in this lesson.
