- One of the major ones was discovering that good and bad<br />

feelings go, they pass. Teaching me not <strong>to</strong> dwell on things,<br />

teaching me I’m the problem in my own life. That I think I know<br />

better, want <strong>to</strong> do it my own way…being childish and stubborn.<br />

- The yoga – how you feel with the energy, the <strong>to</strong>tal feel good<br />

fac<strong>to</strong>r from doing that kind of stuff<br />

- Being involved in the group<br />

- Giving me the learning <strong>to</strong>ols <strong>to</strong> help someone else<br />

What was the most challenging part of the course for you?<br />

The body scan<br />

What impact has the course had on:<br />

(1) How you deal with your addiction and cravings<br />

I’ve been lucky in that my cravings and compulsions had left me for a<br />

good while but this has helped and taught me that they will pass, that<br />

they’re not me; that feelings are feelings, cravings are cravings. I can<br />

do a body scan <strong>to</strong> check in on where it’s coming from, what’s my part<br />

in this and why I’m letting it come in on me because I’ve dealt with<br />

these things. For me I notice a lot of the time it’s <strong>to</strong> do with hunger<br />

(2) Your relationships with others<br />

When I do it right I give them space <strong>to</strong> say how they feel. I’d be<br />

thoughtful of them, that they have an opinion and a voice<br />
