What was the most challenging aspect of the course for you?<br />

The motivation <strong>to</strong> turn up was the only thing I found hard, was just<br />

<strong>to</strong> get up and do it.<br />

How did you find the homework?<br />

The writing part… when I walked out the door (after the session) if<br />

forgot about it (<strong>to</strong> do it). But with the CDs I was bringing them home<br />

and putting them on, and doing it.<br />

How did you fi nd the CDs?<br />

I like them; I listened <strong>to</strong> ‘From Fear <strong>to</strong> Fearlessness’ at home. The 10<br />

minutes (Tony’s guided meditation) is flying now.<br />

Were there any key moments for you on the course?<br />

None that stick out, it was just gradual, I didn’t come in one day and<br />

think, ‘I can do this’, it just sort of fell <strong>to</strong>gether<br />

What impact, if any, has the course had on:<br />

(1) Your addiction and your cravings<br />

I don’t think it has. I know if I get a stressful situation I’ll do the 3<br />

minute breathing thing so I suppose that helps and I got home on a<br />

bad day, I thought ‘I’ve arrived, I’m home…’ so it was taking my<br />

mind off what I’m going through. When I joined I didn’t think it was<br />

about addiction, but that it was a meditation course, so it’s not like I<br />

didn’t get what I was expecting<br />

(2) Your relationships<br />

Maybe it has – not so much on my relationships, but more on me –<br />

I’ve become so much more aware of myself. To deal with what I’m<br />

learning about myself but at the same time maintaining my<br />

relationships without letting it affect me<br />
