The Stopfordian 2011–2012
camels had to find their way to the stable in the darkness. His
friends, the other stars, try all they can to make him believe
that he can shine and when they lead him to the stable to see
the baby he realises that Jesus’ love will give him the strength
to shine again.
It is always a delight to witness the freshness with which these
young people perform and remind us all of the true Christmas
message – one of peace and love.

NURSERY VISIT TO STOCKLEY FARM
To celebrate a wonderful year together the Nursery packed up
their wellies and went on a day trip to Stockley Farm. We
were very excited on the coach ride there and could not wait
to begin our day of fun filled activities.
Children, staff and parent helpers thoroughly enjoyed seeing
all the farm animals. We were given the opportunity to groom
a horse and bottle feed the lambs. One of the favourite parts
of the trip was Pets’ Corner, where we could stroke and hold
baby rabbits and Guinea pigs.
With the rain holding off, we managed to play in the large
outdoor area. The children loved climbing and swinging, but
most of all zooming down the zip wire. There were even
diggers in the large sand pit.
After all that hard work we had to take a break and have a
picnic before continuing on our day with an exciting, bumpy
tractor ride. It was then off for a forest walk where we loved
looking for bugs!
After a fantastic day out it was time for the journey back to
Nursery. We were all exhausted and some children couldn’t
even keep their eyes open and had to have a quick forty
winks!

GARDENING CLUB
Reception Gardening Club were delighted to harvest their
very first crop of peas this summer. The children all took
home some peas to taste.
